Hey Hey Hey!!!

Finally, I remembered that I have a blog:) It has been so long time since I have not written. And many things happened... I went to Turkey and be back to blore, became an employee in SATYAM, went to hampi for the second time, got a few job offers:D...

First, let me write about Turkey. It was so nice to be back after a long time. I really enjoyed the every second I spent in Turkey (apart from time I spent in Indian Embassy(Embesil)). Eating borek, doner, pide, balik, kazandibi and all other... Meeting with my friends and having real parties (not like till 23:30) and of course an amasing Ramadan Festival with my family! 3 weeks passed so fast that I didnt understand anything. On the other hand, most of the things were same. People, politics, sports, shortly life... But, coming back to Blore was more difficult then I expected.

So, how is life here? Well, it is almost same. The difference is, we go out more often as we are mostly on guest lists! Still new places are being opened in Blore. Mostly, I dont like the music played at the clubs, highly commercial and old hiphop. But, two weeks ago, we went to "Fuga" where we had a lot of fun. They play house and elektro house and their music was well updated. Apart from that some bands started to come to Blore for concerts. A few months ago we went to INXS and that was ok. Today, Deep Purple is coming and I expect very good music and a nice concert:) Lets see...

So, my job... It is ok. I am learning a lot but still having some problems with Indian working culture. No regret for staying here for my job. And still I am not clear with my future plans. There are many options and many different plans. First, I should decide where I want to be:)

And old good Robertson! Now it is a guys' house, no girls! Still, atmosphere is good apart from the problems we have with Sharan. Yesterday, we had a barbeque party which was very nice. I think we should have parties more often.

Travelling... Not so much actually. After so long time here and great journeys I had, I am a bit lazy:) last week we were in Hyderabad and it was very interesting to see how fast that city develops. And next week, we will have course in the Ashram of Art of Living. Lets experiance some spiritual side of India:)

Thats all for now! I promise to keep my blog updated more often:) Take care!!!

The Great Journey!
Episode 4: Stucked at the snow!!!
On the way back, something happened that I couldnt beleive happened in India:) We were stucked on the way to "Kardang La". It was snowing and it was foggy. Military didnt let us go and we had to spend a few hours in the military base. The road was full of snow and ice... actually, I had a lot of fun:) Again, some pictures:

The Great Journey!
Episode 3: Nubru Valley
The next day, we started our Journey and reached to the "Highest Motorable Pass In the World-Kardang La". We were at 5600mts and we were surrounded by snow:) Walked and played some snow ball:)
We arrived in Diskit and spent the first night there. We were very remote from the life that we are used to. No mobile reception, no internet... The next day, we found that we could find a place more remote: Panamik. This is the last point... After this point, military does not let you go futrher.
There is a buffer zone till the border with China and this is the highest battle ground in the world!
In Panamik, there was only one restaurant and we didnt have any choice... The owner was from Tibet and he was very nice to us. At night, there was no electricity... We were able to see all the stars. It had been a while since I handnt seen so many stars... Very nice... Here are two pictures from Nubru Valley:

The Great Journey!
Episode 2: Leh
After crowded Manali, Leh was very nice. Still, in the old fashion and not so crowded... It is very easy to feel in the city that Ladakhies live as if they were living hundreds of years ago. The Leh Palace and the Gompa are on the hills and two highest points of Leh... We went to both of the places on our first day and walking at 3500mt was a bit difficult for the first day:) But being 0n the highest point of Leh was a very good feeling:) One half of the city is just like a desert, no green; but, oppositely other half is very green and full of trees...Here is a picture of Leh...

Meanwhile, we found the cheapest hotel in Leh, actually it found us:) Hotel Tsomuri (i hope i remember right:) was ok but very cheap... Just 150 rupees per double room! 150rps= around 4$:)

The next day we went to some palaces and gompas around Leh and booked our car to go to Nubru Valley. Nubru Valley is the northest point that a foreigner can go in India...

The Great Travel!
Episode 1: Manali, Manali-Leh by Bus!!!

Yes, it has been some time after I came back to Bangalore. To eb honest, after amazing Himalayas, it was a bit difficult to get used to the life in the city:(

First day in Delhi... Meeting with one of the cousins... After Bangalore, Delhi was very hot and it was full of tourists. After spending the day in Delhi, in the evening we started our journey to Manali. On the way, something very interesting happened; I got a call from Dubai and was offered a job:) It was a bir surprise... As I extended my contract with SATYAM I refused their proposal. The road to Manali was ok; but, I should say that bus drivers in North are more crazy:)

Then we met with two other cousins in Manali... We were all very happy as we hadnt seen each other for some time:) The next day we took a day hike, walked about 20kms. The best part was when we arrived to waterfall... It was very nice and relaxing.

The next day, we started our road trip to Leh. To be honest, bus was in a worse shape then I expected. On the one side there were three seats next to each other and on the other two. There was nowhere to put our heads. We knew thatm, journey takes 2 days with an overnight stay.

The first day was ok. We didnt go so high and we "just" drove for 7 hours; but, guess how many kms we made? Only 150kms... The hard part was the second day... We started 5 in the morning! For me, it was very difficult to sleep on the bus. Actually, the view was so beautiful that i didnt want to sleep at all... Second day took 16 hours!!! And we were passing high altitude road passes. Going up to 5000mt and then come back to 3500... Very tiring. Luckly, i just had a small headache and nothing else on the road. We were all creeps... here are some views from our bus journey:

CraZy pArtY iN bAngaLorE!!!

In Bangalore, all the bars and clubs close by 23:30 and if you want to have some fun, only solution is house parties! But if you can hide from police:) I have seen polices in our parties for many times.

Because of these reasons, me and viren (one of my indian friends) decided to organise a big party out of Bangalore. We found a nice farm house with a swimming pool, rented sound and light systems and arranged the transportation.

While we were expecting around 70-80 people, there were more then 150 people! More then enough to have a crazy party:) Way to the party was an adventure as one of the bus driver got lost with almost 80 people on the bus:) After starting the party, everything was fine. Everyone was dancing and having fun (at least i beleive so:) Then around 04:00 in the morning, we wanted to change the music and the dj as the party was dying. At that time we had to stop the music and I saw everyone moving to the buses. I was telling people not to leave, we would have a party till sunrise untill I saw a police running towards to me and holding a rifle!I didnt know what to do and police grabbed my shirt. Then i had a punch on my back! If you try to say that they can not hit you, you get more. Then his chief said let him go:) I was very afraid of making a trip to Indian jails:) Mean while, a few people were hitten by bamboo sticks!

Then we had to close the party and go back to homes. When I went to bed, it was around 06:30!

And I would like to thank to everyone who came to the party; especially Hyderabad(25) and Chennai(4) crews. Hope to have another big party with out any cops!!!

Namaste!!!

It has been a long time since I have written... A lot happened since then; but, I want to start with yesterday. Here are some pictures taken yersterday...

Those pictures are not from Iraq or Afghanistan... They are from Bangalore's it self... After thursday, here is the result: 6 deads, 100 voundeds, 200 burnt vehicles...(http://www.ibnlive.com/article.php?id=8185&section_id=3)

Everyone say different things about the reason of violence. It doesnt matter for me. Since the begining, I always tried to understand the indian way of thinking; but, I can not understand this. All these happened after Rajkumar's demise. Rajkumar was an idol for Karnataka. He was more then a film star as I see here. He acted in many movies and trained tens of stars. Thursday was holiday for mourning for his death; but, thursday turned into a violence day...
